Sorry news from Hollywood (PDX, not CA). Wrigley Cross bookstore is closing on Sept 11. This is a personal bummer as I am able to walk there from our current house (although we aren't back yet). Everything is 50% so if you are a cheap bastard like me go down and take advantage.
Other dark news, it seems that Hershey's evil continues apace, there is a white chocolate Take Five. The little timeline on the home page hints of more evil to come.

Looks like someone ^ is a DSF at PLS.
Is that some secret spam speak you are making there Brack.
I am surprised the spammers found this so quickly.
No spam speak, only the truth according to Malkmus. I was simply remarking that Anony was a Dick Sucking Fool at Pussy Licking School, given his canned-pigalicious posting.
By the by, I just had a book orgy at the Rich Pub Lib. Inter alia, I picked up Broken Angels (Altered Carbon sequel) and The Darkness That Comes Before, Scott Bakker's first book in the Prince of Nothing trilogy. Most of the lists I have seen say Bakker is up there w/ GRRM and Steven Erikson (haven't read Gardens of the Moon yet, but I hear that series is grrreat).
Be sure to let me know if Darkness that comes before is good, it does look rather good.
I am interested in the Erikson books, but there are TEN of them. Not sure I can commit to that.
Broken angels is about 75% as good as Altered Carbon, still pretty good.
