NBK and I were debating which song most defines the music of the 90s. I submit that it is Fastball's The Way. NBK posits that is Life is a Highway by the Lunatic Fringe Guy.

Although STP's Interstate Love Song is a personal fave, I have to go w/ Smells Like Teen Spirit for 200, T Spot.

Ah Interstate LS is in fact a wonder, and of course Teen Spirit is priceless, but it I think is more a song of the 90s that might have been rather than the 90s that were.
Point taken. Then I offer you the ne plus ultra of bubble gum complaint rock:
The World I Know by Collective Soul.
Nicely done.
May I also submit an option from one of the most 90s of people, Scott Stapp.
I speak of course of.....
What's this Life For
In the perfectly-named "Bubblegum Complaint Rock" vein, I might offer up: "Anything Anything" by Dramarama.
Very nice. How can one forget the "I'll give you anything you want...hundred dollar bills?"
let it be known that the suggestion of 'life is a highway' doesn't mean i like the song. i'd have to say that dr. dre and snoop 'nuthin' but a g thang' is the most 90's. or maybe 'it was(wuz?) a good day' by ice cube. and i do love those songs.
