The sacred and the profane

Metric, one of favorite bands of this decade, will have a new album in April. Read the interview on Pitchfork. The new single is streaming on MySpace. Pretty good. See them live if you possibly can.

Liz Phair, on the other hand, is making ads for Banana Republic.

Metric is awesome. I love this blog.

Thanks, keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming shows. They still play the smaller venues, which is better for us, not so great for their pocketbooks.

Yeah, I'm actually considering fanning them on Facebook (and I'm not a fan of fanning things on Facebook) just so I can learn when they're playing around Seattle next.

Oh my, I feel vaguely slorish for fanning things on Facebook. Oh well. I hadn't even thought of fanning them, but that makes more sense than checking Pollstar every few weeks.

But checking pollstar every few days weeks doesn't make you feel dirty on the inside. Where you can't wash it clean.

Is it just the fanning that fills you with these feelings of horror, or is it also the games and list memes that periodically sweep the FB?
