Have there ever been good prequels? Really, I was trying to think of one and couldn't. I was thinking initially of the Dune prequels and of course of those movies, but other than that have there been prequels of value?

"A Deepness in the Sky" was very good. I also thought "Batman Begins" was pretty good.
if it can be considered one, i think godfather II is the best prequel
A Deepness in the Sky is a good example.
Not as sure about Batman Begins but certainly Godfather 2.
I'd agree with the "Batman Begins was pretty good" assessment. But it's hard to tell if it was a good prequel or if I just love Christian Bale beyond all reason.
